Michael Habbe habbe@ltsp.org and Todd Lyons tlyons@mandrakesoft.com have updated this excellent document for installing LTSP on a Mandrake system. This update now includes information for Mandrake 8.2


Choosing an eprom to be used for a bootrom

Jim McQuillan jam@Ltsp.org Finally sat down and wrote down a few notes about figuring out what kind of eprom should be used for making bootroms for various network cards.


Instructions for an LTSP workstation to run DOS and Linux from Mandrake 7.0

Philip A. Roa Phil@Intelisoft-phils.com did an excellent job of setting up an LTSP environment, where he could boot a workstation via the network, either as a Linux workstation or as a DOS workstation. Then, he documented the process and submitted it to us.


Instructions for setting up floppyd with LTSP-3.0 (Updated Jan 1, 2002)

Scott Balneaves sbalneav@ltsp.org put together a nice set of instructions for setting up floppyd from the mtools package, to access a floppy drive on an LTSP workstation

James Linder jam@tigger.iinet.net.au put together a great PXE booting howto, based on a message that Marty Connor mdc@thinguin.net (of Etherboot fame) had posted to the Etherboot mailing list some time ago.

Jelmer Vernooij jelmer@nl.linux.org has contributed a document describing how to use Plug-N-Play devices with LTSP.

Scott Balneaves sbalneav@ltsp.org contributed a pretty good document describing how to build your own kernel to work with LTSP.


3Com's MBA Remoteboot Howto      RTF version

Conrad Lawes (Conrad_Lawes@3com.com) from 3Com's Lanworks division sent us this document that describes how to boot an LTSP workstation using a 3Com MBA (Managed PC Boot Agent) bootrom. It's always nice to get help from the big guys in networking.

Spencer Kittelson spencertk@abasys.com did a great job of collecting and organizing a bunch of email messages regarding setting up a suitable server for an LTSP environment.
